Simple to wash, made to last

BOHEM is fully washable. Detach the controller, wash at 30°C, lay flat or hang to dry. Look after it this way and it will keep its softness for years.

Four steps

Washing your BOHEM

01

Disconnect

Unplug from the wall, then click the controller off the blanket. Never wash the controller or the cord.

Let it cool

Give the blanket time to cool down completely before it goes anywhere near water.

Wash gently

Machine wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle, or wash by hand. No bleach, no dry cleaning.

Naturally, flat or on a line

Dry naturally, never in the dryer. Make sure the blanket is completely dry before you reattach the controller.

What to avoid

Three things that shorten its life

The knit is sturdy. The heating elements inside it are fine and flexible, and these three things are what damage them.

Do not tumble dry

The heat inside a dryer can damage the heating elements, and the tumbling stresses the wiring. Lay the blanket flat or hang to dry instead.

Do not iron

An iron presses direct heat onto the elements woven through the knit, and they could be damaged. The knit does not need it.

Do not dry clean

Dry cleaning chemicals may damage the blanket, both the acrylic knitwork and what sits inside it. A 30°C delicate wash is all it needs.

Between winters

Storing it well

When the blanket is not in use, put it away loosely. Tight folds and heavy objects are what damage the heating wires inside.

  • Store loosely rolled or folded, in a cool and dry place
  • Do not fold it tightly and do not place heavy objects on top
  • Keep the controller somewhere safe, where the cord will not be bent or crushed
  • The cotton bag it arrived in is made for exactly this

Yes. Detach the controller first, then wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle. BOHEM is made to be washed, which is exactly why the controller clicks off in one motion.
Only wash BOHEM when needed, just like a regular throw blanket.
Hung up in a well aired room, usually a day. Give it as long as it needs. The blanket must be completely dry before you reattach the controller and plug it in.
Unplug and disconnect the controller, let the blanket cool, then wash it as usual at 30°C. Do not use bleach or a stain remover with solvents on the knit.
No. Only the blanket is washable. Keep the controller and the natural linen cord dry, and wipe them with a slightly damp cloth if needed.
