Warm yourself, not your entire home

At Groenland Sustainable Living, we design beautiful products that make it easier to live comfortably while making your footprint smaller.

BOHEM uses 70 watts on average, about the same as a traditional light bulb. By lowering your thermostat by 3-4°C and warming yourself instead, you can use less energy and lower your heating costs while staying comfortable.

Designed in the Netherlands

Our products are designed in the Netherlands and produced in China. We work with trusted manufacturing partners who abide by strict labour laws.

We visit the factory and make inspections for working conditions, safety, quality, and environmental factors. We are exploring options for production in Europe.

Long-lasting by design

Our product design is aimed at long life, with no design for early wear. We offer a 2-year warranty, and our earliest prototypes have been used for at least two years, almost daily during cold seasons. They are still in use with our early testers.

Packaging

  • All packaging and manuals are made of recycled cardboard
  • We use no plastic in our packaging

Built to keep using

  • The BOHEM is machine washable, so you can keep using it for years
  • We plan to offer blankets separately from the controller, so a new style does not need a new controller.

Environmentally friendly factories

We work with factories with good environmental management. Our factories are ISO 14001 certified, the international standard for environmental management systems.

We ship over sea for long distances and use or promote green-certified logistics partners for delivery.

WEEE and packaging compliance

We are committed to WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and packaging regulations across Europe. We ensure proper registration and compliance in all markets where we sell, making it easy for you to recycle your BOHEM responsibly at the end of its life.

End of life

The BOHEM is an electrical appliance and should not be disposed of with regular household waste. Please take it to your local electrical waste collection point (WEEE) or recycling centre. Many municipalities offer free collection of small electrical appliances.
