At Groenland Sustainable Living, we design beautiful products that make it easier to live comfortably while making your footprint smaller. The BOHEM uses just a maximum of 160 watts-similar to two light bulbs-to keep you warm and comfortable. By lowering your thermostat by even 1–2°C and using personal heating instead, you can significantly reduce your energy consumption and heating costs. Thoughtful design. Minimal impact.

Designed in The Netherlands
Our products are designed in The Netherlands and produced in China. We work with trusted manufacturing partners who abide by strict labour laws. We visit the factory and make inspections for working conditions, safety, quality, and environmental factors. We're exploring options for production in Europe.
End of Life
The BOHEM is an electrical appliance and should not be disposed of with regular household waste. Please take it to your local electrical waste collection point (WEEE) or recycling centre. Many municipalities offer free collection of small electrical appliances.
Environmental Commitments
Long-Lasting Design
Our product design is aimed at long life-no design for early wear. We offer a 2-year guarantee, and our earliest prototypes have been used for at least two years, almost daily during cold seasons. They're still in use with our early testers.
Reusability and Recyclability
- All packaging and manuals are made of recycled cardboard
- We use no plastic in our packaging
- The BOHEM is machine washable, so you can keep using it for years
- The blanket ships in its own box (SIOC-Ships In Own Container), eliminating the need for additional outer packaging
- In time, we will offer blankets separate from controllers, so you can enjoy multiple styles without needing a new controller each time
Environmentally Friendly Factories
We work with factories with good environmental management. Our factories are ISO 14001 certified, the international standard for environmental management systems.
Sustainable Distribution
We ship over sea for long distances and use or promote green-certified logistics partners for delivery.
WEEE and Packaging Compliance
We are committed to WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) and packaging regulations across Europe. We ensure proper registration and compliance in all markets where we sell, making it easy for you to recycle your BOHEM responsibly at the end of its life.
